About the College

The College delivers on the vision of our Founding Fellow, the late Sir Robert Mahuta who saw the College as the means by which we will be able to produce a continual stream of leadership to lead Maaori through the next century. It is an international institution attracting scholars and teachers focussed on wide ranging topics of development research.  

Research in development is wide ranging and not exclusively restricted to Waikato-Tainui.  It is development at all levels and in all disciplines.  It will be a centre of excellence benefiting not only Waikato-Tainui but also the Local, National and International communities.
