Nestled in the heart of Waikato, approximately 40 minutes north of Hamilton Airport and 60 minutes south of the Auckland Airport, the Waikato-Tainui College for Research and Development (the College) offers one of the region’s most unique and spectacular conference and meeting venues.
The College, which belongs to Waikato-Tainui, is set on top of a hill rich in cultural history and has breath-taking views of the Waikato River, Mount Taupiri and Haakarimata Ranges. With a variety of conference and seminar rooms, the College provides an idyllic venue for any conference or seminar for up to 200 guests. It also offers 46 superior accommodation suites for up to 55 guests and an amazing range of onsite catering options.
The College is managed by a team of friendly and helpful staff who take great pride in accommodating the needs of all its guests, including guests with reduced mobility and special dietary needs.

The College offers spaces of varying sizes. These rooms are ideal for all your meeting, conferencing, team building and event needs. Each space has WiFi access and is equipped with its own audio/visual system.

With views of the ancestral mountain Taupiri, there are 46 well-appointed modern suites. Each suite is equipped with its own en-suite (shower & toilet), bar fridge and in-room heating, along with its own outdoor access to private courtyards and manicured lawns. Our accommodation complex can host up to a maximum of 55 overnight guests, and features a number of communal lounges or break out spaces, as well as laundry and kitchen facilities provided throughout the venue.
